‘Animals with Attitude’ GC Sculpture Trail – Expressions of Interest
SWELL Sculpture Festival 2012 is the launch pad for the ‘Animals with Attitude’ Gold Coast Sculpture Trail.
To be held March – April 2013 this exciting new Public Art Project will see the Gold Coast come alive with a trail of larger than life size Koalas distributed throughout the Gold Coast and Hinterland. Businesses are invited to sponsor the works which are expected to draw big audiences. Artists are invited to submit designs and will receive a fee to complete the works if their design is chosen.
John is the designer and creator of the Koalas and is very excited to be involved in such an engaging project, with funds raised going to aid the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation.
Potential sponsors should contact Jonathan Fisher, Director, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, on 5534 0801. Artists can get more information and applications at attitude@swellsculpture.com.au
SWELL Sculpture Festival runs until this Sunday evening so get on down to Currumbin Beach and see the Koala up close as well as 51 fantastic sculptures from Australian and international artists.
