‘Blue Perspective’

‘Blue Perspective’ was John’s entry into the 2013 SWELL Sculpture Festival held at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast in September 2013.

The ‘surfer girl’, as she became known, stood 3 metres tall and was positioned at the northern end of Currumbin beach looking out over the ocean towards the Surfers Paradise skyline.

It was a perfect setting for both sunrise and sunsets.

‘Blue Perspective’ was purchased by City of Gold Coast, Councillor Dawn Critchlow.  With paddle board now in hand, the work is now permanently located at Southport Broadwater Parklands.
