Using a combination of animatronics and prosthetics, the items built included Inspector Gadget’s heart beating and intention displaying Go Go Gadget Hat, Go Go Gadget Phone Hand, and the infamous Stop Sign gag. Read MoreThe location work for ‘Komodo’ was filmed in the cane fields around Yatala on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Interiors were filmed at Village Roadshow Studios, Coomera, Gold Coast. John Cox’s Creature Workshop designed and created 7 animatronic Komodo dragons for the film. There were 3 complete Komodos all measuring 14ft long, and there were 4 ‘half body’ Komodo. All of the versions were created for very specific movement requirements or for various death scenes.
